About this blog

Hello to all of you and thank you for dropping in for a visit.  My name is Chris Laforêt and this is my second blog on WordPress.  Some of you might know me from Chris’ Creative Musings.

Now for a word on the name of this blog.  The phrase comes from “Maniac,” a song performed by Michael Sembello for the movie “Flashdance.”  It comes from the words in that song:

On the ice-blue line of insanity,

is a place most never see.

Its a hard-won place of mystery,

touch it, but can’t hold it.

In my case, it is the place of my creativity, a place where I chose to post photos (and paintings).  That ice-blue line separates my “left brain” software-developer, theological writer self and my “right brain” visual artist self.

This is a place where I will share some photos.

My main photographic sharing site is on Flickr, so if you like what you see here and want to dig deeper into my images, please drop by. You can also follow my image postings on Twitter @cmlaforet.

Finally, but not lastly, I am very aware that the source of any creativity that I may possess is The Source of Creation Himself. I photograph, paint, program, and exist only by and for the glory of God for it is only in Him that I move and have my being. <

If you are interested in more biographical information, please see my About page on Chris’ Creative Musings.

I hope that you enjoy your visit here at the edge of insanity…

  1. Hi Chris Laforêt,

I contacted you today as I am an artists scout for PicsaStock and I wanted to let you know that I have been following your work for some time now. I am interested in licensing your whole gallery non-exclusively for PicsaStock. (Please note this is not a spam email, I couldn’t find your email address and apologise for doing this through a contact form).

If you are interested in the above I can send you a starter package on how it all works.

    Thanks for your time.
    All the best,
    Jenna
