“Raleigh” Locomotive

I decided to swing down to Spencer Shops and was pleasantly surprised by all the activity. One of the steam locomotives was out and I was able to get some lovely shots. This is the oldest locomotive there, dating back to the dawn of trains.

This was actually a test experiment in processing with NIK’s new AnalogEfexPro. I pulled the image into a wet-plate colloidon process, corroded the plate, and played with the bokeh of the vintage lens. The effect is lovely for the right subject – in this case, a period look for the locomotive.
