Old Country Store at Sunset

Old Country Store

I shot this with my little Olympus Point and Shoot. I was driving by this old, dilapidated store on the way in from Yanceyville and was drawn to the color reflecting off the side wall. Unfortunately I only had my P+S camera and nothing to brace with (tripod etc.) so I had to try a handheld shot in Sunset mode and hope for the best.

Even though the effect is less than point-sharp, I do have to admit that the point that attracted me to the photo came through relatively nicely. It has the appearance of an old film or Polaroid shot which gives it a vintage, ageless look.

Hope that you like this old piece of Southern Americana….
