View of Jerusalem from Dominus Flevit Church

Dominus Flevit View

This church was constructed in 1955 on the site where it is alleged that Jesus stood when he looked over Jerusalem, wept (Matt 23:37-39, Luke 13:34-35) and lamented over its coming destruction. The view from within the chapel frames an Eastern view of the Temple Mount area. To create a balance in the indoor/outdoor scenes, I metered for the lights, shot in RAW, and used ColorEfex and Viveza to bring out detail in the darkness. I really wanted to capture the stunning view as well as the teacher who was exhorting the seated congregants.
