Eastern View of Uptown Charlotte
I arrived in Charlotte early enough this morning to take a small excursion around the city to capture a few shots. The sun was rising and bathing the East-facing buildings in a gorgeous glow. I have been attempting to get some great shots from this direction but it is pretty tough because of the way the town rises from East to West, the existence of lots of electrical wires criss-crossing the few views, and the large inaccessible (to me) railyard that covers a good view area!
I found this parking lot and the overhanging tree was perfect! I processed using some curves layers, a vibrance layer, and a color balance filter in Photoshop. I then sucked in a layer with Nik’s Color Efex and bled in some film grain (they have a great grain engine!) and added a bit of lens vignetting.
